WALTER FRANK MAEKER Walter Frank Maeker, 59, of 1608 E. Santa Rosa St., died at 10 p.m. Wednesday in a Houston hospital following an extended illness. A resident of Victoria since 1930, Mr. Maeker was born Oct. 26, 1910, in Gonzales County, to John Maeker, now of El Campo, and the late Mrs. Annie Pagel Maeker. He was a former resident of Shiner and was a retired oil field worker. He was formerly employed by Delhi Taylor Oil Co. Mr. Maeker was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. James Carlson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A prayer service was held Thursday night at the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers will be Ernest Witte, Ben Leita, H. C. Martin, Edwin Schafer, Wilburn J. Schuette and Roland Willms. Surviving besides his father are his wife, Mrs. Martha Maeker, and two daughters, Mrs. C. F. Willemin and Mrs. John Burns, all of Victoria; two brothers, Edgar Maeker of Victoria and Johnny Maeker of El Campo and eight grandchildren.
