YOUNG FARMER IS SUDDENLY KILLED A terrible accident happened Monday afternoon at the Frank Blaha Sr., farm west of Ord when Martin Blaha, 20 year old son of the family was injured so that he died in a few hours without gaining consciousness. The following story was told by a brother of the young man. They were shelling corn and Martin was shoveling into the sheller at the crib. His father was looking after the engine and in oiling it there was something that he didn't understand or some help he needed and the boy came to his assistance. In reaching over the engine his clothing was caught in the governor and he was jerked off his feet and into the engine. He was forced between the fly wheel and the body of the engine so tightly that it was stopped and he suffered a fracture of the skull and was otherwise bruised and his arm broken in two places. When taken out of the machine he was unconscious and though he live 10 hours he never regained consciousness. He was buried Wednesday. The funeral being held from the Catholic church and interment made in the Ord cemetery. The parents, several brothers and sisters and scores of friends are left to mourn his sudden demise.
