Bio

Margie Kuhn, 91, of Columbus, passed away Sept. 23, in Columbus. She was born on May 26, 1921 to Joseph Frank Wanja and Mary (Kasper) Wanja in Weimar. On Jan. 15, 1944 she married Barney Kuhn whom preceded her in death on April 13, 1996. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Mary Queen of the Snows 1588, the Altar Society, and was a docent for the Magnolia Homes Tour. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Johnson and husband David of Columbus, and Carol Haller and husband Jim of Ithaca, Neb.; son, Harold Kuhn and wife Jackie of Washington; sister, Gladys Rau of Columbus; five grandchildren, Wade Johnson and wife Gina, Anne Navarro and husband Romney, Clifton Kuhn and wife Leis, Kelli Kuhn, and J.P. DeLay and wife Keena; and great grandchildren, Madison Johnson, Hailey Johnson, Peyton Navarro, Rylan Navarro, Cydney Lee and Ana Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband Barney Kuhn; father, Joseph Frank Wanja; mother, Mary (Kasper) Wanja; sisters, Gertrude "Gertie" Harry, and Dorothy Mae Fink; and brother, Edgar Wanja. Funeral services took place on Thursday, Sept. 27, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with Fr. Augustine N. Asante officiating. Interment followed in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus. Pallbearers were nephews, Doug, Joe, Tom and John Rau, Rusty Harry and Ron Frnka.
