Bio
Nick J. Woita was born December 23, 1949 in David City, NE to Adolph and Sally (Tomek) Woita. He graduated from East Butler High School in 1968 and attended Milford Technical School in Milford, NE. He graduated from there in January of 1970 with a degree in auto mechanics. He began working for the Ford dealership in Wahoo and worked there until 1978. On February 21, 1976, Nick was united in marriage to Peg Heindryckx at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Osceola, NE. Three sons were born to them: Matt, Steve and Bryan. Nick worked at Diers Ford in Fremont, NE in the parts department from 1978 until his retirement in 2007. In April of 2008, he was given another four years of life with a double lung transplant. Nick passed away Sept. 27, 2012 at his home at the age of 62. Nick loved his family and always went to his boys' sporting events and school. He enjoyed working in his garden and on his lawn. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus parish in Wahoo, NE and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Nick is survived by wife Peg; sons Steve and Bryan and daughter-in-law Laura, all of Omaha, NE; brothers Larry (Rose) Woita, Carl Woita, all of Valparaiso, NE, Jim (Susan) Woita, Lincoln, NE; brothers-in-law Greg (Candace) Heindryckx, Lincoln, NE, John (Robin) Heindryckx, Columbus, NE; sisters-in-law Connie Heindryckx, Osceola, NE, Amy (Jeff) Stroh, Hickman, NE, and Jean (Clark) Stanway, Hollywood, FL; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Adolph and Sally (Tomek) Woita; son Matt Woita; father and mother-in-law Bob and Marion Heindryckx; brother-in-law Robe Heindryckx.
