Bio

Robert, age 78, died at St. Marys Manor. He was the son of Walker C. and Maude L. Johnson. He graduated from Alton (MO) High School and served for 29+ years in the US Air Force as an aerial photographer, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. He was the Chief of Military Police at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita. He served as Mayor of Wamego in the '90's. He married Donna Simmer on December 27, 1952, in Salem, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, his daughters, Deborah Johnson and Fran Ebert, and his brothers, Irvin Johnson, Ben Johnson, and Hal Johnson. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his infant son, Robert V. Johnson Jr., and his brothers, Walker C. Johnson Jr. and Carl Johnson.
