d/o John M. Ransom and Elizabeth Moore Married (1) John W. Bennett, November 23, 1885 in Bastrop County, TX (2) Dr. Preston Lee Hooper From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram , Monday, October 21, 1918, p. 2: Messages were received from New York Monday announcing the death there of Mrs. May E. Hooper. She died of pneumonia. Mrs. Hooper was in New York visiting her sister, Mrs. Tom B. Owens. The body will be sent to Fort Worth. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. From the Dallas Morning News , Thursday, October 24, 1918, p. 9: The body of Mrs. May E. Hooper, who died in New York Sunday, is due to arrive here tomorrow. Funeral services will be held at the L. P. Robertson undertaking parlors at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Messrs. J. S. Coe, Charles W. Little, L. B. Blake, Robert W. Harrison, J. A. Chapman and E. G. Rall. Services will be conducted by Father R. M. Nolan of St. Patrick's.
