Amelia Louise Wittera (December 26, 1913 - December 2, 2010) Amelia Louise Wittera entered her heavenly home on Thursday, December 2, 2010, twenty-four days short of her 97th birthday. The family will receive friends at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, December 3, 2010. A funeral service to celebrate Amelia's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 4, 2010 in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Berry's Creek Cemetery. Amelia was born December 26, 1913 to Joseph and Anges Psencik in Dayton, TX. She married Bohous Emil Wittera on October 31, 1937; moving to Georgetown in December 1946 to begin their farming career. A true farmer's wife, she worked side by side in this profession while maintaining her gardening, sewing, and cooking skills; all, while raising not only her three children, but instilling in them her philosophy of generosity and compassion. Amelia was member of the Northside United Methodist Church until its closing in 1997. Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and two grandsons. She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Ann Sudduth and husband Marvin; son, Larry James Wittera and wife Joy; and daughter, Linda Eillene Vise all of Georgetown; also three grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren with two more due in March. Also surviving are several step-great grand and great-great grandchildren.
