Hastings resident, Suzanne R. Farris, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her home. Suzanne was born December 16, 1949 in Fremont, Nebraska to Robert & Jacqueline (Lamberty) Knight. Suzanne graduated from Hastings (NE.) High School in 1968 and attended The University of Nebraska at Kearney. Suzanne married James Farris on September 6, 1969 at St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral in Hastings. She worked as a court reporter at Nebraska Reporters Service and was past Vice President of Farris Construction. Suzanne was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, PEO Chapter GK, Alpha Phi Sorority, Vestry of St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, Education for Ministry, and she belonged to many prayer groups. Suzanne was preceded in death by: father, Robert Knight. Survivors are: Daughters & Sons-in-law: Beth & Randy Coil – Hastings, NE. Andrea & Troy Curtis – Hastings, NE. Grandchildren: Katie Coil Jack Coil Charli Jo Coil Caden Curtis Alexandra Curtis Kori Curtis Mother: Jackie Knight – Hastings, NE. Sister & Brother-in-law: Nancy & Tom Vanasche – Albany, OR. Interment was in The Saint Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral Columbarium, Hastings, NE.
