Bio
Betty J. Crouch, 83, passed away March 8, 2008 after a short stay at Adel Acres. Betty was born February 22, 1925 in Ottumwa, IA. After graduating from Ottumwa High School she married Wm. Merle Crouch on December 28, 1943 and was a homemaker. After the death of her husband she returned to school and completed her LPN degree and worked at the Woodward State Hospital. After retirement she helped with Dallas County Meals On Wheels Program. Betty was a member of the First Christian Church. She is survived by her children, Wm. Michael (Janet) Crouch, Jennie (Carl) Reiste, Janice Crouch, Peggy Cokeley, sister, Patricia Jean (Howard) Carr, sister-in-law, Mary Gilroy, ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, John and Verna Ramsey Gilroy, and her brother, Wm. Donald Gilroy.
