Beatrice Daily Sun, Beatrice, Nebraska, May 7, 1944, Page 1 Allen Bennett, 30, superintendent and coach of Plymouth high school died unexpectantly Saturday morning at a local hospital. He recently underwent an operation there, and was up and making plans to leave for home when he was seized with a heart ailment and quickly passed away. Mr. Bennett had been coach at Plymouth for several years during which time he had produced some winning teams. He was elected about a year ago to head the Plymouth school. He was popular among the boys he coached , although he was strict with all of them alike. He coached at Powell and Grant, Neb., before going to Plymouth. He was considered a good disciplinarian in his school work. He is survived by his wife, Irma, and two children, Richard Allen and Jennie Lucile, both of the home. Also his mother, Mrs. Kate Bennett of St. Edwards, Neb. Services will be at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the home in Plymouth, the Rev. S.G. Russon officiating. Interment is to be at Dorchester, Neb. The body is at the Bergmeyer chapel.
