Bio

Helen Creer McKell, age 84, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2003, with all her family at her side. Born October 31, 1918, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Roy and Eleanor Bowen Creer. She attended Spanish Fork schools. She married Arthur Nielsen McKell on March 12, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. By living her quiet, simple, work-filled life, Helen managed to make a profound impression on all who knew and associated with her. She loved and lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her wonderful example of kindness, generosity and faithfulness will never be forgotten. She served for many years in the Primary and Relief Society. She loved her family and enjoyed doing handiwork for them. Helen is survived by her husband of 62 years; daughter Sharalyn; son Brent (Irene); and granddaughters Amanda and Katherine. Also survived by sisters Ann Hutchings, Vera Whimpey, and sister-in-law Jean Creer. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers Sterling Creer, Ted (Phyllis) Creer and Alan Creer; sister Dona (Gene) Hansen; and brothers-in-law Stan Hutchings and Don Whimpey. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2003, at 11 a.m., at the Foothill 2nd Ward, 1930 S. 2100 E. Friends may visit Wednesday evening at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S. from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the ward prior to the service. Interment: Spanish Fork Cemetery.
