Bio

The daughter of John Stanley Ridge and Edna Primm, Kay was born during the flu epidemic of 1918. Her father was a coal miner and died in summer of 1929. Edna, a widow with 7 children, then married William Rollins, a widower with 7 children. Needless to say Kay had a large family. Kay married Lawrence Geary and they lived for a time in southern Ohio, before making their way to Sandusky. She was mother of 4 sons,1 daughter. I first met Kay in 1974 at her home on Franklin St.. Her husband had recently had a stroke and would eventually pass away in 1976 at the Brecksville VA hospital. She was an active member of the Faith Memorial Church, and worked at J.C. Penney. Eventually, she married again to Lou Debenjak. They were happy until her death in Dec.1984, and he passed away less than a year later, in Sept. 1985. She was a woman of faith, quick to laugh,a great cook, and loving mother and grandmother.
