BETTIS- MRS. MATTIE DUNGAN , age 76, died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital. She is survived by her husband, John A. Bettis, Harrison, Tenn.; four daughters. Mrs. Horace Kidd. Mrs. Floyd Gillam and Mrs. Estelle Smith of Chattanooga: Mrs. Duard Gregory, Birchwood, Tenn. a foster son Richard Newman, Chattanooga: three brothers, Joe DeFriese, Cleveland, Tenn. Charley and J. R. DeFriese, Chattanooga: four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by R. J. Coulter Funeral Home.
