Bio
Janice A. Hubbard was born in Norfolk, NE., on November 18, 1945, the daughter of Joseph, Sr. and Adella (Machacek) Srb. Janice passed away, Thursday, September 13, 2012, at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk, NE. Janice was raised on the family farm east of Madison, NE. She attended rural school and graduated from Leigh (NE.) High School in 1963. She continued her education and earned her Bachelor's degree in English and German. During her senior year of college, on December 19, 1965, Janice married Daryl Hubbard. Janice was employed by Madison (NE.) Public Schools teaching English and German. She later earned her Master's Degree in Library Science. After which she was the librarian and retired in 1997 due to her illness. Janice was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed the classics. However her passion was for her family. Janice is survived by her husband of 46 years, Daryl Hubbard; children: Darin Hubbard, of Norfolk, NE. and Jessica Hubbard, of Norfolk, NE.; four grandchildren; brothers, Joseph, Jr and Marilyn Srb, of Columbus, NE. and Keith Sirb, of Tempe, AZ. Janice was preceded in death by: parents and sister Patricia.
