KAYSVILLE -- Madge Harris Rasmussen, age 82, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at her daughter"s home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born March 23, 1920 in Ogden the daughter of Fred and Mary Ellen Thornley Harris. Madge was in the first graduation class from Ogden High School and graduated from Ogden Beauty College. Madge married Jarold Lewis Rasmussen on June 29, 1941 in Farmington, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They were married for 46 years when Daddy passed away. Mama missed her eternal companion dearly, and looked forward to this day to be reunited. She was a member of the LDS church and held several positions, Primary Presidency, Young Women Presidency, temple worker with her husband at the Ogden Temple and a faithful visiting teacher. She was an avid democrat, and served as a Pink Lady at Weber Memorial Hospital for many years. Madge loved to cook, sew, paint, dance, work in her yard and she especially loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Surviving are three daughters, Nancy (Don) Galvez, Riverdale; Jerry (Sid) Stoker, Syracuse; Cris (Reed) Thurgood, LaBelle, ID; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and many friends at the St. Marks apartments. She was preceded in death by her father and her sweet mama, husband, brother, four sisters, and two great-granddaughters. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 10, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Road. Friends and family may call Friday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist"s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main.
