Frank A. Smith Nampa Mr. Frank A. Smith, 77, of Nampa, died Tuesday, April 20, 1993, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Father Francis Peterson will officiate with Alan Yarrington, a friend of the family, giving the eulogy. Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Frank A. Smith was born on October 17, 1915, in St. Bernard, Neb., to Sidney L. and Theresa V. Gregory Smith. He was one of 12 children. He settled in Idaho as a young man in 1936 in the Homedale-Wilder areas. He met and married Una B. Lamb in 1943. During his life in Idaho, he worked as a farmer, logger and woodsman. More recently he worked as a Ditch Rider for the Basin Land Irrigation Co. serving the farming area south of Nampa. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Una B. Smith of Nampa; two daughters, Kathryn Zimmerman and (Mrs. Jimmy) Francine Ramsey, all of Nampa; a sister, Stella Wiedner and two brothers, Mahlon Smith and Carol Smith, all of Nebraska; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews including Mary Ann Muldoon of Nampa.
