Troy Edward Baker, 77, died Monday, September 10, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. He was Born November 16, 1934, in Marshall County to Berry Baker and Velma Odell Thomas Baker. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, Serving in the U.S. Army. He was a Retired Factory Worker and a Baptist. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with Rev. Don Wilson Officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery in Hickory Flat. United Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his Wife, Lillian Baker of Hickory Flat; two Daughters, Rheta Hamlet and Husband, Danny, of New Albany; and Pam Hale and Husband, Tommy, of Hickory Flat; a Son, Charles Baker and Wife, Virginia, of Dumas; five Step Daughters, Shelia Frazier and Husband, Hank; Susan Frazier and Husband, Hayes; Sharon Chism and Husband, Rex: Sandra Hipps and Husband, Larry; and Sara Jackson and Husband, Scott; and two Grandchildren, Christopher Hamlet and Alisha Roque. He was preceded in death by his Parents; two Sisters, Lonavee Baker and Hazel Baker; a Brother, Elaine Thomas; and two Granddaughters, Jessica Baker and Danna Hamlet. Pallbearers will be Danny Hamlet, Christopher Hamlet, Lee Hale and Danny Smith. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. today at the Funeral Home. In lieu of Flowers Donations may be made to the Danna Hamlet Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Regions Bank, New Albany. In Honor Of Mr. Baker, United Funeral Service, Inc.
