Fairfield Recorder - Aug. 18, 1899 Yerby Locals Aug. 15, 1899 We are sorry to report the death of Mrs. Slaughter, which occurred at her home last Saturday night. She was a true Christian lady. She leaves behind a husband and two little boys, a host of friends to mourn the loss. Her remains were laid to rest in the Lake Chappel cemetery last Sunday evening at 4 o'clock, Rev. D. T. McLeod officiating.
