Birth date provided by Pavla Vlckova (#50071006). Born in the village of Kacerov, town of Kralovice, county of Plzen, Bohemia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic). According to the 1900 census he was born November 1840 in Bohemia, emigrated to the United States in 1869 and had been married 40 years. At that time he and his wife farmed in Chester Township, Saunders County, Nebr. '''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), April 26, 1917, p. 4, col. 3 Abie Joseph Sirokey, Sr., died Thursday, April 19 at his home in Abie, after illness of several months. Rev. Father Hanzlik conducted the funeral services in Sts. Peter's and Paul's church in Abie. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Sirokey is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
