Bio

Birth date and place provided by Pavla Vlckova (#50071006). Son of Anton and Katherine (Osmera) Reznicek. Married Caroline Pallas on October 6, 1897 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Thornburg P.O., Hayes County, Nebr. According to the 1900 census he was born February 1872 in Austria and emigrated to the United States in 1894. At that time he and his wife farmed in Logan Precinct in Hayes County. The date of death inscribed on his gravestone contradicts the date in his obituary. '''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), February 28, 1918, p. 4, col. 4 Abie Mr. Reznicek died at his home five miles west of Abie Saturday, Feb. 23. He had been confined to his bed for several years. His death was from rheumatism. Rev. Father Kopecky conducted the funeral services on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery at Abie. Mr. Reznicek is survived by his wife and several children, namely, Mary, Tracy, Agnes, Cyril, Ludmila, Hattie and Rudolph. Mary is the eldest and Rudolph is the youngest.
