Bio
Barbara "Bobbie" Ellen Dixon Harris was called home on Jan. 24, 2012. She was 78 years-old. Bobbie was a very active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for more than 40 years, serving in many posts during that time, and enjoyed participating in numerous other community activities. She was a member of Farley Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, R.C. Harris, son Wesley Harris and wife Ann of New Orleans, son Steve Harris and daughter Nancy Harris Hollingsworth both of Waxahachie, as well as nine grandchildren April Harris Swales, Jamie Harris Cochran, Richard Harris II, and Wesley Harris II of Plano and Brad Hollingsworth, Jr., Valerie Harris Danford, Mark Hollingsworth, Allison Harris and Scott Hollingsworth of Waxahachie; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, and great-grandson Gabriel Michael Hollingsworth. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
