Fisher, aged 69 years, passed away at his home west of Ulysses on Saturday morning, June 7th suffering a heart attack. He had been ailing a few months but was able to be up and about and was in Seward a few days before he died. Mr. Fisher was born at Monmouth, Ill., on Sept. 12, 1871, and was the youngest of a family of five children. After living a few years in Illinois, Iowa and Eastern Nebraska he came with his parents, brothers and sisters to a farm east of Seward in the early '80's. He was married to Celia Wynegar of Ulysses, who survives him, on Oct. 2, 1905. Six children were born to them: Paul and Edward farming east of Ulysses; Richard who is in the Army service, and Mrs. Rosetta Bock and Miss Bernice of Lincoln, and Carl farming at home. Besides his wife and children he leaves a brother, George Fisher of Seward and two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Patrick and Mrs. Schuyler Patrick of York. A brother Jack passed away 30 years ago. Mr. Fisher was a kindly, honest man who loved his home and family and will be sadly missed by his dear ones. Funeral services were held Thursday morning at the Ulysses Catholic church. Owing to the delay in locating the son Richard, who arrived on Wednesday evening. The Rev. Father Downy officiated and interment was in the Catholic cemetery with Patterson and Knott in charge.
