Dorothy Cunningham, age 80, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Mena. She was born January 22, 1932 in West Fork, Arkansas to the late Elbert Lee Gibson and the late Mary Lillian Reynolds Gibson. She was united in marriage to Paul M. Cunningham and was of the Baptist faith. Dorothy was the caretaker at the Lion's Club Golf Course here in Mena for 22 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by: Sons: Phil Cunningham of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas Dennis Cunningham of Austin, Texas Daughters: Barbara Cunningham of Mena, Arkansas Sara Holliday and husband Rick of Mena, Arkansas Brothers: Jess Gibson and wife Dixie of Tempe, Arizona Vern Gibson and wife Norma of Conroe, Texas 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Mary Gibson, her husband, Paul M. Cunningham, 2 sisters, Doris Jean Gibson, and Ruth Ann Gibson-Burger, and a brother, Jerry Lee Gibson. Mrs. Cunningham was sent for cremation under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. The family will hold a private service at a later time.
