Bio

J.M. Rice, was born in Illinois in February, 1862, moved to Texas when a young man, came to Oklahoma and settled in Roger Mills County, near Roll. Mr. Rice had been in bad health for a number of years, and gradually grew worse until April 4, 1918 when the death Angel came for him. Mr. Rice was a good husband, father and neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Was converted in early life and lived a consistent Christian life for a number of years. He leaves a wife, three sons, and a host of friends to mourn his untimely demise. Funeral was conducted by Rev. J.F. Curtis and body laid to rest in the Dickason (Silent Home) cemetery, Roll,Oklahoma to await the resurrection morn.
