Obituaries: David ‘Doc' Fuston Smith, 88 Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bokchito Church of Christ for David “Doc” Fuston Smith, 88, Bokchito, who died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at his residence. Bro. Steve Summers will officiate.He was born Sunday, Nov. 30, 1919, in Bokchito to Sonie Vern Smith and Ruth Laverne Colwell. He married Avis Marie Ray in Bokchito. He enjoyed farming and being with his family.He was preceded in death by his wife on May 3, 1991, brothers Maurice Aubrey Smith and Sandy Vern Smith, and sister Ruby Jeanette Williams. He is survived by brother Gene Smith and wife Charlene, Bokchito; sons Ray Smith and wife Wanda, Gun Barrell City, Texas, David Doyle Smith and wife Connie, Bokchito, Charles Allen Smith and wife Nancy, Irving, Texas, Carl Dee Smith and wife Shelley, Richland Hills,Texas; daughters Peggy Allen and husband Tommy, Bokchito, Luana Thomas, Bokchito; sister-in-law Angie Enlow, Van Alstyne, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Bokchito Cemetery with Jeremy Smith, Richie Smith, David Hamblin, Russell Adamson, Darrell Jestis and Jimmy Hamblin serving as pallbearers.
