Bio

Otto Hutton was born January 8, 1903 in Blue Ridge, Texas (Collin County), son of Robert Lee Hutton (1863-1922) and Belle Zora Ann Williams (1864-1943). The 1910 Federal Census for Justice Precinct 8, Texas (Collin County) shows Otto Hutton, age 7, born in Texas; living with his father, Robert L. Hutton, a farmer, age 46 born in Tennessee; and his mother, Belle, age 45, born in Tennessee. Also living in the household were Otto's siblings: William Hutton, age 20, a farm laborer, born in Tennessee; Cora L. Hutton, age 24, a farm laborer, born in Texas; John Hutton, age 18, a farm laborer, born in Tennessee; Odis Hutton, age 16, a farm laborer, born in Tennessee; Maudie Hutton, age 15, a farm laborer, born in Tennessee; Albertis Hutton, age 13, a farm laborer, born in Texas; Earl Hutton, a farm laborer, age 11, born in Texas; Pauline, age 9, born in Texas; and Baby (Bobbie) Hutton, age 0, born in Texas. The 1930 Federal Census for Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows Otto Hutton, a grocery salesman, age 23, born in Texas; living with his widowed mother, Belle J. Hutton, age 65, born in Tennessee. Also living in the household were Otto's siblings: Cora Hutton, age 44; Albertis Hutton, a retail grocery merchant, age 33; Earl I. Hutton, an odd jobs laborer, age 31; and Bobbie E. Hutton, age 19; all born in Texas. On May 30, 1935 in Holdenville, Oklahoma (Hughes County), Otto married Virgie Ann Renegar, who was born December 25, 1895 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. Otto died September 7, 1983 in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) and was buried there in the Highland Cemetery. Virgie died June 6, 1999 and was buried beside him.
