The Victoria Advocate, September 26, 2004: Louis Anton Navratil, 80, of Wharton, died Fri., Sept. 24, 2004. He was born Feb. 23, 1924 in Wharton to the late Anton Louis Navratil and Mary Chumchol Navratil. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, SPJST, Rotary Club, and Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton. Survivors: wife, Annie Navratil; daughters, Margaret Brown and Ludmila Gramann, both of Houston, Jean Carlson of Milwaukee, Wis., and Janet Tanner of Dallas; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sister, Vlasta Longoria. Visitation will be 5:30-9 p.m. tonight at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited 6 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Home, Wharton. 979-532-3410.
