Mildred Smajstrla SEYMOUR - Mildred Smajstrla, 83, of Seymour died Saturday, June 5, 2010, in Wichita Falls. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Seymour, with Father Charles Gorantla and Deacon Jim Novak officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home of Seymour. Ms. Smajstrla was the owner and operator of Handy Food Store. Survivors include five daughters, Sandra Lane and Tricia Sturgeon, both of Seymour, Phylis Flowers of Denton, Diane of Vicksburg, Miss., and Margaret Rogers of Wichita Falls; four sons, James, Richard, Robert and John, all of Seymour; two sisters, Bertha Roy of California and Ethel Birkenfeld of Goree; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Christian wake will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the church with Deacon Jim Novak officiating. The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association; the American Cancer Society; the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Altar Society; or a favorite charity.
