Bio

Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), February 14, 1918, p. 3, col. 2 Bruno. Mrs. Edward Smid, who died January 31 after illness of 24 hours following a stroke of paralysis, had been a resident of this locality 41 years. She was aged 67 years, 7 months and 22 days. Funeral services were held in the Bruno Catholic church on February 4 and burial was in the National cemetery. Mrs. Smid was born in Moravia July 9, 1848. In 1871 she was married to Mr. Smid and they came to the United States in 1877, locating on a farm near Bruno. Mr. Smid died a couple of years ago. Mrs. Smid leaves one son, John, two brothers and two sisters.
