Apolena Tomanek was born and baptized on February 8, 1843 in house #18 Olsany, Jihlava, Moravia to Andreas Tomanek and Maria Cermak. She was united in marriage to George Andel, January 11, 1864 in Olsany. George was from Kninice and it is here, that their first four children were born (Frank(1864-1936), Mary (1867-1948), Wenzel (1869-1872 in Kninice), and Frantiska (1871-1943). They went on to have 3 more children in Butler County, Nebraska (James (1873-1938), Louis (1878-1961) and Leopold (1879-1961) **All czech research/records supplied by Jennifer Styskal Faust
