George Tippen (no "s") Born 1778 in SC and wife Mary Son: Thompson Tippens born 08/13/1813 in Anderson County SC Son of Thompson: Alsy or Alsey Tippens Born 1836 in Georgia, died 02/04/1877 buried in Limestone County Alabama. Wife of Alsey: Lucinda Gasaway Born 1838 in Georgia, Died November 1933 in Wagner Texas buried at McWright Cemetary. I know that George Tippen had a brother named Samson (died 1818) and his wife was Leah. Their children were: Nancy, George, Mary, Elizabeth, and Rhoda. George and Samson's father was Captain John Tippen he was born about 1752 his wife was either Elinor or Ellennor Weems. Capt John's brothers were William and Phillip. Henry was their father. The Tippens must have added the "s" when they got to Texas. They came here first then went to Oklahoma from our records.
