Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), January 31, 1929, p. 4, col. 4 Passing of William Voboril. William Voboril, of Dwight, brother of Charles Voboril, of David City, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, at St. Joseph's hospital, Omaha, where he had undergone a surgical operation for appendicitis a week preceding his death. He was 28 years of age. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church, Dwight, on Thursday, Jan. 24, conducted by Rev. Father Bauer, of Bruno. Mr. Voboril's six brothers were pallbearers. Burial was in the Dwight cemetery. The Knights of Columbus, of which Mr. Voboril was a member, attended the funeral in a body. William Voboril was born on a farm near Bruno, the third son of Mr. and Mrs. John Voboril. For the past eight years he had helped his brothers, Edward and Frank, in their garage business and his parents on the farm. He is survived by his parents, six brothers, Edward and Frank of Dwight, Charles of David City, Ernest of Bruno and John and James at home, and two young sisters, Marie and Anna. He was a young man of a quiet and pleasing manner, industrious, a good son and brother, and had many friends. ___ Card of Thanks – We wish to express our sincere thanks for all the help and sympathy shown us at time of the death of our dear son and brother, and for all the beautiful floral offerings, especially from the Knights of Columbus.
