'''''''''''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), January 7, 1931 p. 1, col. 8 Funeral of Mrs. Sedlak Dwight, Jan. 4 – Funeral services for Mrs. Jacob Sedlak, who died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 26, at her home in Dwight, were held Tuesday morning, Dec. 29, at St. Mary's church, Dwight. Mrs. Sedlak had been in apparently excellent health until two weeks previous to her death, when she sustained a stroke of paralysis, affecting her left side. She was seemingly improving when the end came. Mrs. Sedlak is survived by her husband and two stepsons, Louis of Bee and Joseph of Cheyenne, Wyo. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery, Dwight. ''''''' The Brainard Clipper (Brainard, Nebr.), January 14, 1932, p. 1, col. 2 MRS. JACOB SEDLAK Mrs. Jacob Sedlak died at her home in Dwight on December 26. Had she lived six days longer she would have been sixty-five years old. Her death concluded an illness of two weeks following a paralytic stroke. Funeral services were held at Assumption Catholic church in Dwight on December 29, conducted by Rev. Benedict Bauer and Rev. Stephen Srahulek. Burial was in the Dwight Catholic cemetery. Pall bearers were Anton and Thomas Kocian, Anton Kouma, Louis Hamata and Joseph and Louis Sedlak. Agnes Holcapek was born on Jan. 2, 1867, at Zbejsov, Moravia, a daughter of Thomas and Frances Holcapek. She was united in marriage on Jan. 17, 1904, to Jacob Sedlak. In June 1907 they immigrated to America, living for a short time in Loma and then moving to Dwight where they have since resided. Besides her husband and two sons, Louis A. of near Bee and Joseph A. of Fort Warren, Wyoming she is survived by one brother, Joseph Holcapek of Loma and a sister, Mrs. Frank Brozder living in Europe.
