Bio

QUANAH - Maurine Brown, 77, of Crosbyton and formerly of Quanah, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Dea officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park. Mrs. Brown married Charles Derwood Brown on Feb. 13, 1945, in Quanah. She was retired from GTE Telephone Company and enjoyed bowling and working with crafts. She is survived by a niece, Linda Dewbre of Crosbyton; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Meals on Wheels or the Senior Citizens Center.
