Norfolk Daily News; Norfolk, Nebraska; Saturday, February 20, 1960; Front Page Mrs. E. N. Anderson, Wife of Ex-Chief, Dies Mrs. E. N. Anderson, 59, 500 Indiana Ave., wife of a former Norfolk police chief, died at 9:04 p.m. Friday in a hospital here after a lingering illness. Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church, the Rev. Melvon Ireland, officiating. The body will lie in state from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Home for Funerals. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Ella Havranek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Havranek, was born Dec. 16, 1900 at Spencer. She and Mr. Anderson were married Sep. 14, 1922, at Bonesteel. They lived at Bonesteel until they moved to Norfolk 31 years ago. CLUB MEMBER Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First Methodist Church, its Women's Society in Christian Service, the American Legion Auxiliary and Chicago and Northwesterm Women's Club. She is survived by her husband, who recently retired as a Northwestern Conductor; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Wiedenbach of Norfolk, one son, Harry of Columbus; seven grandchildren, six sisters, Mrs. Leonard Larsen of Plainview, Mrs. Rose Bowers of O'Neill, Mrs. Charles Landberger, Mrs. William Shell, and Mrs. Frank Blake, all of Denver, and Mrs. James Crist of Frederick, Colo., and one brother, Lambert Havranek of Grand Island. She was preceded in death by her parents. all spelling and punctuation as it appeared in the paper (GH)
