Bio

John was a farmer who raised soybeans, wheat, oats, corn and milo. He also was a trucker and hauled grain and livestock for neighbors to the elevator and livestock to the Omaha stockyards. John helped organize many dances that were held at the St. Francis Center Hall. He also shelled corn for many people in the area. John and Emma butchered their own cattle and hogs and spent many hours making homemade bologna that they smoked themselves in a smokehouse.
