Bio

The Maud Enterprise Feb. 6, 1947 1st page, 2nd col. Hendrex Funeral Services Sunday Funeral Services were held Sunday in the Maud Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. for Harve Hendrex, 62, who died of a heart attack at his home on West Monroe street sometime late Thursday afternoon. He was found at his home by Wesley Pounds, who was rooming there when he returned home from work. Pounds is employed with the Rhinehart and Donovan Construction Co. Hendrex had resided in Maud since 1916, moving here from Shawnee after several years resident there. He was employed by the Warren Smith Hardware Company in Shawnee, moving to Maud to become manager of the company store here. For a time he also was employed by the City of Maud, in the water Department. He was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include one son, Leat of Van Nuys, Calif; her mother, Mrs. H. H. Hendrex, Shawnee, three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Mulder, Shawnee, Mrs. Grace Cooper, Medicine Park; and Mrs. Ruby Norman, Corpus Christi, Texas, one brother, J. H. Hendrex, Roff, Oklahoma and one grandson. Burial was in the Cummings cemetery under the direction of the Ogee Funeral Home. (Died Jan. 30, 1947)
