Bio

Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), August 20, 1902, p. 5, col. 3 Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bouggar, Mrs. Aug. Miller and children and Miss Tean Hilger went to York Thursday evening to be present at the ceremonies when Mary Bouggar and Lizzie Considine took the final vows as Sisters. Miss Considine will take the name of Sister Columbia. She is a sister of Mrs. Aug. Miller. Miss Bouggar is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bouggar. ''''''''' The Lincoln Daily Star (Lincoln, Nebr.), December 27, 1902, p. 9, col. 3 David City. Miss Mary Bougger, who has been at the Ursuline Sisters' convent at York for two years, and is now a sister of that order, is at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bougger, in this city, in very poor health. She received treatment at St. Mary's hospital in Lincoln a couple weeks before returning home. ''''''''''''''''' Peoples Banner (David City, Nebr.), April 9, 1903, p. 4, col. 2 Miss Mary Bougger, who has been in very poor health at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bougger, in our city for several months past, is much worse again. Mr. Bougger informs us that their daughter who was a Sister in the Ursuline convent at York died March 26th and they received a letter last week stating that another daughter who is a Sister in a convent in Leavenworth, Kansas, is lying at the point of death having been sick since January. Surely Mr. and Mrs. Bougger deserve the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their bereavements. NOTE: The article is mistaken. No Bougger daughter died on March 26, 1903. ''''''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), April 29, 1903, p. 5, col. 5 We failed to mention the death of Miss Mary Bouggar, last week. Miss Bouggar was a daughter of Frank Bougar and wife who moved from near Brainard to David City. Deceased had been ill about three years and has been confined to her bed for many months. She passed away peacefully at about half past three in the afternoon Saturday, April 18th. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church Wednesday, April 22nd. Rev. Caraher conducting the services, after which interment was made in the cemetery at Center. The PRESS extends its heartfelt sympathy.
