Published in the Arcadia Guide, Arcadia, Nebraska, Thursday, March 4, 1965, Page 3, Column 2 Funeral Services For Tommy Thompson February 24th Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, February 24, at the First Congregational Church of Arcadia for Tommy Thompson, 17 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. David Thompson (Betty Anderson) of Alda, Nebraska. Reverend Jacob Merrill officiated. Pallbearers were four uncles of the child: Theo Anderson, Ival Anderson, Herb Thompson, and Keith Anderson. Burial was in the Arcadia cemetery with Hastings-Pearson Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Tommy Dean Thompson was born August 22, 1963, at Broken Bow, Nebraska, and departed this life at the Lutheran hospital at Grand Island February 21, 1965, at the age of one year, five months, and 29 days. He is survived by his parents; one brother, Allen Howard; two sisters, Corena Mae and Donna Jean; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Thompson of Ansley; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Anderson of Arcadia; great grandmother, Mrs. Emma Hammer of Spokane, Wash., and a host of other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Thompson and family moved from Arcadia less than a year ago to Alda, Nebraska, where he is employed in land leveling work, preparing land for irrigation.
