Agnes (Crosier) Lockett Weisenborn. Daughter of William H. Crosier and Catherine Melvina Nelson. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Henry Weisenborn married Daisy Singer May 18, 1898 at Pana, Illinois (Christian County). After they divorced, Henry married Agnes (Crosier) Lockett. Lockett was her first husband's name. About two months before Henry murdered Agnes, Agnes told her neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Blasingame, that she was having trouble with Henry and was through with him. Agnes left Henry and rented a room with the Blasingames. They lived at 1204 1/2 South Akard in Dallas. Agnes told them that Henry had threatened to kill her if she left him and if she filed suit for a divorce. She did leave Henry, filed the suit for a divorce, and Henry was placed under a peace bond. On October 8, 1914 Henry gained entrance that evening to the Blasingame house where Agnes was living by saying he wanted to patch things up with his wife. Once there, however, he fired 3 shots into Agnes. Then, he shot himself twice through the brain from the right temple. It was eight o'clock at night on October 8, 1914. Agnes's young son, Frank Lockett, lay sleeping in the adjoining room and was awakened by the shots. He rushed into his mother's room to find her lying in a pool of blood on the bed. He saw his step-father dying upon the floor. The boy's screams and the noise of the revolver shots attracted neighbors. Mr. and Mrs. Blasingame were not home. They had spent the day at Fair Park and arrived home a few minutes after the shooting occurred. An ambulance took Agnes to the Baptist Memorial Sanitarium where she died at 11:45 p.m. Henry, wounded, with little chance to survive, was taken to the City Hospital. Her death certificate states: "Gunshot wounds inflicted by Harry Weisenborn." Henry Weisenborn had been living in Dallas for a number of years and worked as a linotype operator for a Dallas paper.
