Vila Mae Gibson, 81, of Eddy, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, at her home. Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 21, at First Baptist Church of Eddy, with Pastor Jim Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park in Waco. Family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at Pecan grove Funeral Home, Waco. Vila was born in Chilton, Texas, to the late Monta and Mattie Phelps. She married Ruben Gibson on June 5, 1949. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ruben Gibson. Vila is survived by her daughters, Vivian Ann Neal, and June Deleon, and husband, Manual; eight granddaughters; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. E10
