Julia Ann Damron, 64, of Cranfills Gap, passed away Saturday morning, August 18, 2012, in the Clifton Care Center in Clifton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Meridian Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Lawson Funeral Home Julia was born in Hico, Texas, to the late Finnis E. Patrick and Edna Louise Miller Patrick. She was raised and finished school in Cranfills Gap. On Nov. 26, 1966, she was united in marriage to Earnest G. Damron in Cranfills Gap. Julia attended Hill Junior College and studied to be an EMT. She later took classes at MCC in Waco in business management and supervision. Julia worked at the Meridian Hospital as an EMT, supervised housekeeping at Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant in Glen Rose and later for Winn Department Store in Dublin, Texas. She loved her Lord and family. She enjoyed cooking for all of her many friends and family. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Geraldine Damron; and brothers, Melvin Lee Patrick and Charlie Bill Patrick. She is survived by her husband, Earnest Damron, of Cranfills Gap; daughters, Martha Damron Payne and husband, Ronnie, of Clifton, and Virginia Louise Damron Speer and husband, Doug, of Gordon; grandchildren, Rachel Hinds, Lindsey Bailey, Kara Payne and Neil Payne; four great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Ledbetter, of Cranfills Gap; brothers, Ray Patrick, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Vernon Patrick, of Cranfills Gap; several nieces and nephews, including a nephew she helped raise, Wayne Banner, and a number of other relatives and many friends.
