The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), February 7, 1980, p. 19, col. 2 & 3 Frank Jirovsky, 91, funeral services conducted at Bee Funeral services for Frank Jirovsky, 91, of Bee were held Tuesday, Jan. 29, from St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Bee, with Rev. Gerald Vap and Rev. Clarence Reisdorff officiating. Mr. Jirovsky died Saturday, Jan. 26, at Seward Memorial Hospital. Pallbearers were Dale and Bernard Benes, Frank Prochaska, Daniel Bartek, Roger and Ron Jirovsky. Burial was in the Dwight Catholic Cemetery. Frank Jirovsky, son of Thomas and Anna (Jisa) Jirovsky was born June 6, 1888, in Saunders County. On Jan. 14, 1913, he was married to Rosina Langbauer at Dwight. A retired farmer who lived most of his life in the Bee community, Mr. Jirovsky was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Bee, and the Catholic Workmen. Survivors include five sons, Frank, Bohumil, Joe and Jerome, all of Bee, and Charles of Seward; four daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Rose) Bartek, Valparaiso, Mrs. Andrew (Lucille) Benes, Hallam, Mrs. Stanley (Henrietta) Benes, Bee, Mrs. Joe (Bernadette) Prochaska, Abie; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Christine) Svoboda, David City, Mrs. Bill (Pauline) Beranek, Crete; 43 grand-children; and 31 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two children, three grandchildren, his parents, one brother and two sisters. ______ p. 11, col. 7 CARD OF THANKS – We wish to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the many relatives, neighbors and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy and support for the Mass offerings, memorials, flowers, cards and food.
