Son of Fred Johnson and Henrietta "Hettie" Johnson (Creel). Husband of Martha (Thompson). Nickname "Curley". Obit. - James R. Johnson "Curley",63, of Roganville died Friday, August 12, 1994 near Sam Rayburn. Funeral was Sunday, August 14, at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper with burial at Doyle Cemetery in Starks, La. A native of Starks, he lived there most of his life before moving to Roganville 34 years ago. He was retired from Pipefitters Local 195 in Beaumont. Survivors include his wife, Martha Johnson of Roganville: sons, Fred Johnson, Billy Johnson, Buford Berry and King Berry, all of Deweyville, Harvey Johnson of Mauriceville, Ebb Berry of Jasper and Super Berry of Nederland; daughters, Judy Johnson of Deweyville, Carolyn Selph of Kirbyville, Louise Henderson of Lumberton and Mary Mott.
