Bio

Annie was the daughter of James Thomas & Cynthia Cordelia "Neely" (Pate) Mayes. Her siblings were Mattie May, James Elias, & Lacy Opal. Her mother's first marriage was to John William Kee, so she also had some half brothers & a sister: Nora Bell, Ewing Joseph Elmer, William Martin, & Stanley B. Annie married Otto T. Kinder about 1913. More about their life on his page. Annie moved to Electra, TX where she worked as a laundry supervisor at Sheppard Air Force Bass. Annie had lived in Electra 20 years when she admitted to Electra Memorial Hospital. She had been coping with cancer of the pancreas for nine months, which contributed to her death for an Intestinal Obstruction. Annie died at 1:52 p.m. on Sept. 2, 1978. She was 80 years old.
