Bio

Services for Roy Franklin McLaughlin, 81, of Plainview will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Wood-Dunning Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Ewing, pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. McLaughlin died Monday at Scott and White Hospital in Temple after a long illness. He was born in Bell County, and moved to Plainview in 1921. He was a retired employee of Southwest Public Service Company. Survivors include his wife, Edith; three sisters, Mrs. Otis Bickham of Van Vlack, Mrs. Herbert Brown of Moffat and Mrs. Delmon Smith of Schertz; and three brothers, Preston of New Braunfels, Edward of Bay City and Perry of Moffat.
