Bio

Richard Eugene Hooper, 90, died July 1, 2012 in Allen, Texas. He was born January 30, 1922 in Murphy, Texas to Richard Lowe and Mae Strickland Hooper. Richard was a carpenter and owned his own construction company. He was married to Minnie Elizabeth Hartline for nearly 75 years. They had three sons. He is survived by his wife, Minnie, sons David (Sue), Danny (Jeanette) and Paul Hooper, grandchildren Eulalia Ahl, Cody Hooper, Lindsy Dean, Mary Elizabeth Van Cleve, Scott Hooper and Joshua Hooper, 6 great grandchildren and one sister Dollie Calverly. The family will receive friends at a visitation to be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home at 601 South Tennessee Street in McKinney, Texas at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following at Ridgeview Cemetery in Allen, Texas.
