Bio
Dale Richard Heftie, the son of Richard and Arlyce (Kliewer) Heftie, was born at Aurora, Nebraska on November 22, 1970 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on July 20, 2002, at the age of 31 years. He grew up in Stockham and graduated from Aurora High School in 1989. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1993. Dale continued research work for the University, while working on graduate studies from 1993 to 1995. He then returned to Stockham to farm with his dad. Dale was a member of the Stockham Community Church. He loved spending time with his family, especially his one-year old niece Britany. Dale enjoyed weekends at the lake, attending stock car races and playing with his dog, Buddy. He was an avid sports fan, with the University of Nebraska being his favorite. He was preceded in death by his mother. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Richard and Cheryl Heftie of Stockham; two brothers, Darin Heftie and his wife Elizabeth of Lincoln and John Williamson and his wife Sara of Kearney; 3 sisters, Sheila Grashuis and her husband Eric of Seneca, South Carolina, Shauna Letellier and her husband Kurt of Lincoln and Carrie Williamson of Denver, Colorado and niece, Brittany Grashuis of Seneca, South Carolina. Dale is also survived his grandparents, Wendell and Ruby Burgat of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Norman and June Hall of Wichita, Kansas, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
