Tracy was named after her maternal grandmother and her mother's sister. She had no children of her own, but she was very well liked by her nieces and nephews who called her "Aunt T." She was one of the last children to get married, but not because she didn't have many suitors. We have inherited many gifts given to her in her youth by suitors. She was a fun and popular person. During the Great Depression she worked in the local store in Miles and said they paid her with pieces of a yellow glass pattern. This was her family's "best dishes" for many years. She lived on the Schovajsa farm in Miles. She never learned to drive. She married Truman Garrett and they lived in McCamey when he worked at the bank and later on Houston Street in San Angelo. Tracy had a framed white glove with the caption in the frame saying this was the glove she was wearing when she shook the hand of Lady Bird Johnson. Tracy made wonderful cinnamon and sugar pecans in her oven. She relaxed with a beer and loved reading her tabloid newspapers. She left the bulk of her estate to her surviving siblings, Ed and Geraldine.
