Bio

Joyce was born July 4, 1920, in Dermott, Texas, the daughter of Waymon John and Ora L. (Clanton) Green. On June 24, 1939, Joyce married Carl Monroe Eades. They shared 47 years of marriage before his death. Joyce worked for 25 years as a cosmetologist, owning her own shop, Vogue Beauty Shop. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Aztec, N.M. Joyce's first love was her great-grandchildren, followed by crocheting, playing dominoes and spinner. At the age of 67 she took dance lessons and enjoyed the senior dances. Surviving Joyce are her children, L. Carlene Townsley and husband Ray of Pueblo West, Colo., and Sis Foster and husband Harold of Cortez; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Bob Green of Denver; and three sisters, Merlyn Jones of Snyder, Texas, Tince Bigalk and husband Norm of Aurora, Colo., and Bell Bishop of Cortez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Eades; a son, Jerry Eades; a great-grandson, Dusty Lance; and four brothers.
